For quite some time now we have been working with a network of believers in northern Africa living precariously under Sharia law and in constant risk of death and under great difficulty day to day. Our contacts have been living and working among this people group with their family for more than twenty years. We have spent quite some time understanding their mission and what God is doing among the people group they minister to.

This entire family has learned their language and customs and come to love them deeply. At this time, we are not mentioning the people group or even the country for the sake of the safety of these precious believers. For many months as we have been developing this relationship we have been watching their work from the sidelines, but we feel NOW is the time to begin to see what we can do to help.

One particular and timely need we became aware of will be the beginning of our work on the African continent.

We are starting our work with Christian widows. Some of these women have tragically lost their husbands in a land where death comes more expectedly than in other places from illness, violence, and a very hard life amidst a very harsh environment. Others have become widows of a different sort. Muslim husbands have abandoned them and their children when they have come to know, trust, and confess faith in Christ.

Poverty in this part of the world is as deep and desperate as it is anywhere in the world.

This Christmas season we are going to bless a group of these widows with provisions that should change their lives greatly in the short term. We also have a long-term plan. This feels good, and we look forward to updating you on how this helps makes a difference in their lives as we hear ourselves. We won’t be able to show you pictures and videos as we have with our other work, but we’ll do our best to update you with colorful updates as the work continues to bless them.

The long-term plan that has already been in the works for two decades.

If this is something you are interested in, stay posted and we’ll be laying out our long-term plan for you all soon. It is exciting and quite doable, and we can’t wait to tell you more as we can.

For now this country is listed as nearly 100% Muslim, but we believe the light of the Gospel can dispel the darkness.

A Merry Christmas Indeed

In this season of seemingly endless food and celebration for most of us, we urge you all to take the time to join us in sending love to your dear sisters across the world, offering them relief and something to celebrate the birth of Christ with so that in their desperate and dark hour the light of Christ continues to shine forth. We hope that through these gifts of food and supplies they will feel the church around the world and know that they are forgotten no more. Our fundraising goal includes our short-term plan as well as our long-term plan.

God bless us everyone!

IMPORTANT: How Your Donations are Used

Our ministries, in Myanmar with Mission To Myanmar and in the Americas with Missions To the Americas, have a lot of different needs, some more pressing than others. If the orphans are short on food, for instance, building a school building is not as critical as feeding them. If two needs are only partially funded, then we may be able to accomplish either one. With these examples in mind, we prefer to be able to reallocate your funds as needed. If you don't want us to do this, please select the appropriate option below.
